Fulham secured a 2-1 win against Chelsea at Craven Cottage, compounding the Blues’ ongoing difficulties as incoming head coach Liam Rosenior watched from the stands.

Chelsea were down to 10 men as early as the 22nd minute after Marc Cucurella received a red card for a professional foul on Harry Wilson. The sending-off left caretaker boss Calum McFarlane’s team under sustained pressure for much of the contest.

Fulham broke the deadlock in the 55th minute through Raul Jimenez, who powered a header into the net. Chelsea hit back almost straight away, with Liam Delap scoring from close range after a corner kick rebounded off the post.

However, Chelsea were unable to complete the comeback. With nine minutes remaining, Harry Wilson took advantage of a defensive mistake, bringing the ball under control before firing a volley past Robert Sanchez to clinch the win for the hosts.

The defeat leaves Chelsea sitting eighth on the table, behind Brentford, while Fulham move up to 31 points to remain comfortably in the Premier League’s top half. Supporters made their displeasure clear, displaying ‘BlueCo out’ banners and chanting against the club’s ownership.

Discipline remains a concern for Chelsea, as the Cucurella dismissal marked the club’s eighth red card of the season, adding to a growing list that includes a previous sending-off under former manager Enzo Maresca.

With Rosenior set to assume control, the Blues face a challenging task to regain stability amid mounting injuries, suspensions, and unrest off the pitch.
