Fulham secures loan deal for Chelsea striker Armando Broja for the remainder of the season.
The 22-year-old, who has notched two goals in 19 appearances for Chelsea across various competitions this season, was a sought-after target by Wolves and AC Milan during the winter transfer window
“It feels amazing. I’m really happy to be here and I can’t wait to get started, meet the players and manager and play for the fans,” said Broja.
“The fans always play a big role and I can’t wait to go to Craven Cottage and meet them all. I’m going to work hard for the team and create a real bond. I’m really honoured and excited to be here.”
He endured a setback during the 2022-23 season, missing half of it due to an anterior cruciate ligament rupture in December 2022.
Broja, a product of Chelsea’s academy, made his debut against Everton in March 2020 and has since scored three goals in 38 appearances.
Currently positioned at 12th in the Premier League, Fulham trails Chelsea by two places and six points. The Cottagers have scored 28 goals in the 2023-24 season, a figure surpassed by only six other teams.
In a parallel move, Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos has embarked on a loan journey to French Ligue 1 club Strasbourg.
The 19-year-old had initially been loaned to Nottingham Forest at the start of this campaign but made only two appearances before being recalled by Chelsea this month.
The decision to loan Santos aligns with the club’s developmental plans for him.
Notably, Strasbourg shares ownership with Todd Boehly and Behdad Egbahli, who also hold a majority stake in Chelsea, a collaboration established in June 2023.
