Burglars targeted Jack Grealish’s residence while the Manchester City footballer was on the field during his team’s 3-1 victory against Everton in Liverpool.
Officers responded to a reported burglary at a residence in Cheshire around 21:50 GMT on Wednesday.
According to reports, jewellery and watches worth £1m were stolen.
Despite a search aided by police dogs and a helicopter, no suspects were located by the officers.
A spokeswoman for Cheshire Police added: “No arrests have been made at this time and inquiries are ongoing.”
