Manchester City forward Erling Haaland has revealed that his ambition is to lift silverware with the club in 2026 and also have a memorable experience at the 2026 World Cup.

In an interview with the club’s official website, the Norway international admitted he was disappointed that 2025 did not go as well as hoped at club level, but he remains optimistic about what lies ahead in 2026.

“I want to win things with my club, and of course I’m excited in the summer. A World Cup is the biggest thing you can participate in and it will be incredible to do so with Norway.

“But we have to keep calm. There is a lot of work ahead of us and we know exactly what to improve. What I can say is that we believe what we are building and I will give everything to be ready.

“If we do things the right way, we can make it a year that will be remembered,” Haaland says.
