England captain Harry Kane has been crowned the winner of the 2025/26 European Golden Shoe after finishing as the continent’s top league goalscorer.
beIN SPORTS reported on Monday that the Bayern Munich forward secured the prestigious individual award following another remarkable scoring campaign.
The European Golden Shoe is awarded annually to the leading goalscorer in Europe’s top domestic leagues.
Kane finished the season with 73 goals across club and international football, including 12 goals for England. The tally matched his highest international return since the 2021/22 campaign.
The former Tottenham Hotspur striker also enjoyed a historic 2026 FIFA World Cup with England, as the Three Lions recorded their best-ever finish at a men’s World Cup held outside Europe.
Kane made further history during the tournament by becoming England’s all-time leading World Cup goalscorer, after initially equalling and subsequently surpassing Gary Lineker’s record.
His World Cup performances also saw him move into joint fifth place on the all-time FIFA World Cup goalscorers’ chart.
The Golden Shoe adds another major individual accolade to Kane’s decorated career and further highlights his remarkable goalscoring consistency for both club and country.
