Pep Guardiola will not take charge of any club or national team during the current season, according to AS.
The 55-year-old Spanish coach recently ended his 10-year spell at Manchester City, prompting speculation about his next managerial move.
Since leaving the Premier League club, Guardiola has been linked with several clubs and national teams. His name was also recently associated with Trabzonspor, who are currently looking for a new manager.
However, Guardiola’s agent, Josep Maria Orobitg, has ruled out a return to management this season.
“Pep will not coach any club or any national team this season.”
The decision means the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager will take time away from the dugout to rest and recharge after a decade at the helm of City.
