American streamer Darren Watkins Jr., popularly known as IShowSpeed, shared a fun moment with Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, and his children during the 2026 FIFA World Cup final on Sunday.
A video from the streamer’s livestream captured Seyi Tinubu, dressed in a Spain jersey, sitting in the VIP section of the stadium alongside his children and other family members as Spain defeated Argentina 1-0 after extra time to lift the World Cup trophy.
Before the match, IShowSpeed took part in the closing ceremony, where he performed his latest song, “World Cup (Champions),” alongside drummers and dancers as part of the pre-match entertainment.
During his livestream, a member of Seyi Tinubu’s entourage approached the content creator and informed him that the president’s son was nearby.
The 21-year-old streamer then went over to greet the family, took pictures with the children and exchanged pleasantries with Seyi Tinubu.
“It is nice meeting you,” Seyi Tinubu told IShowSpeed after they shook hands.
In a humorous comment directed at the family, IShowSpeed said, “Tell your dad to get me a Nigerian passport!”, a statement that sparked laughter before he continued with his livestream.
The joke came months after the streamer visited Nigeria as part of his Speed Does Africa tour, where he received widespread attention and a warm reception from fans.
During his trip to Lagos, IShowSpeed livestreamed visits to notable locations including Lagos Island, Freedom Park and the Nike Art Gallery. He also met Nigerian music stars Davido and Zlatan Ibile and celebrated his 21st birthday while in the country.
