Help rescue Siasia’s abducted mother, Nigerians beg Sports Minister

Nigerians have pleaded with the Minister of Youth and Sports, Sunday Dare, to come to the aid of former Super Eagles coach, Samson Siasia, as he continues the search for his kidnapped mother, The Punch report.

Siasia’s mother, Beauty, was kidnapped 10 weeks ago and there has been no information over her whereabouts despite efforts by the Nigeria Police Force.

“The police said it’s been difficult to track these kidnappers, but my great concern is that my mother is very sick,” Siasia told BBC Sport.

“For someone who is unwell to be held against her will is not only callous but heartbreaking and sad.”

The former Super Eagles coach also asked the government to come to his aid, so his missing mother could be rescued.

“So I can only keep appealing to these guys to please let my mother go. I would like for the government or whoever is capable to help me bring my mother back.

“What more can I do but plead for assistance from the government, police and my country that I served as a player and coach,” he said.

The latest plea had Siasia trending on Twitter, with many Nigerians asking the sports minister to help him out.

“@SundayDareSD hello sir, as one of your advocates and big fan of your work so far in the ministry, kindly join up and assist coach Samson Siasia. His mum is still with kidnappers after over two months. coachSiasia helped grow our youth football and Nigeria League as a whole,” @Daddy_Arianna tweeted.
