Bundesliga club Hoffenheim have secured Nigerian forward Gift Orban for €9 million (£7.8 million) from French side Lyon, the latter confirmed on Thursday.
The 22-year-old, who joined Lyon from Belgian outfit Gent a year ago, had fallen out of favour. He managed five goals in 21 appearances but hadn’t played in Ligue 1 since September.

“We wish Gift well in his new adventure,” said Lyon.
Hoffenheim noted Orban’s speed and ability to provide width in attack.
“In Gift Orban, we have found exactly the fast striker we were seeking,” stated Hoffenheim director Andreas Schicker.
