Super Eagles and Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface shared his journey from paying just ₦30 as a young player to watch Champions League matches to now living his dream by competing in the same tournament.

In a post shared on Fabrizio Romano’s X handle on Friday, Boniface expressed his excitement about playing in his first Champions League match during his team’s 4-0 victory against Feyenoord on Thursday.

Bayer Leverkusen signed Boniface from Union SG in 2023 for a fee exceeding €21.7 million.

He said: “From paying 30 naira to watch the Champions League… to playing my first Champions League game. Proud of this moment.”
