Alvaro Morata says he is not thinking about returning to Chelsea and will do all he can to remain at Atletico Madrid.
The Spanish striker joined his boyhood club on an 18-month loan deal in January, and has scored six goals in 17 games for Diego Simeone’s side.
Morata is due to return to Chelsea in the summer of 2020, but he told Marca: “What is clear is what I want, I want to be here.
“I’m going to do all I can to keep playing here, I did all I could to come and I will do all I can to stay. I’m not thinking about going back anywhere, only being here.
“I’m happy here and I want to be here for the years I have left at the top level.”
Morata joined Chelsea for a potential £70m in 2017, and scored seven goals in his first eight games. However, his form and confidence quickly waned, and he scored just 17 goals in his next 64 matches for the Blues.
