Inter Milan extended their lead at the summit of Serie A to 14 points with a 2-1 victory over Udinese at Stadio Friuli.

Davide Frattesi, coming on as a substitute, found the net from close range in the 95th minute following Lautaro Martinez’s strike that rebounded off the post.

Lazar Samardzic broke the deadlock late in the first half, taking advantage of a defensive mix-up between Yann Sommer and Denzel Dumfries.

Hakan Calhanoglu leveled the score from the penalty spot after Marcus Thuram was brought down by goalkeeper Maduka Okoye.

Inter had a goal disallowed for offside in the 48th minute, when Carlos Augusto thought he had scored.

Despite dominating possession with 77% and registering 23 shots, Simone Inzaghi’s team required stoppage time to find their second goal and secure the victory.

Gabriele Cioffi’s Udinese remain in 15th place in Serie A, holding a two-point lead over the relegation zone.
