Omari Hutchinson delivered a virtuoso performance, netting twice as Ipswich Town hammered six goals past Sheffield Wednesday, propelling them back into second place in the Championship standings.

As Leeds, their promotion rivals, prepared to face Millwall on Sunday, the Tractor Boys seized the opportunity to rebound from their heartbreaking stoppage-time loss at Cardiff the previous week, securing their seventh win in the last eight matches.

The outcome was apparent from early on as goals from Hutchinson, Cameron Burgess, and Nathan Broadhead ensured Ipswich had a comfortable lead by halftime.

Hutchinson completed his brace and assisted two more goals for substitute Ali Al-Hamadi, sealing Ipswich’s victory and condemning relegation-threatened Wednesday to consecutive defeats.
