January transfer window: Raphinha takes decision on joining Arsenal from Barcelona

Raphinha, a target for Arsenal, reportedly has no desire to join Mikel Arteta’s squad before the January transfer window closes, according to Mundo Deportivo.

Raphinha has made it clear that he does not want to sign with the Arsenal because he plans to compete for a spot at Barcelona in the upcoming months.

After a challenging first six months at Camp Nou since joining the LaLiga giants from Leeds United, it had been speculated that the Brazilian winger might be on the current January transfer market.

Arsenal legend Paul Merson had also backed the Gunners to sign Raphinha after missing out on Mykhailo Mudryk to Chelsea.

But Raphinha seemingly intends to prove he can be a regular starter at Barcelona under manager Xavi Hernández’s side despite the possibility of a return to the Premier League with in-form Arsenal.
