According to an official announcement from Manchester City, John Stones, the 31-year-old England centre-back, will depart the club at the end of the season, closing out a decade-long spell with the Blues.
In the statement, Manchester City confirmed:
John Stones will leave Manchester City in the summer, bringing an end to a memorable and hugely successful ten-year stay at the Etihad .
Since joining in 2016 as Pep Guardiola’s second signing, the defender has gone on to make 293 appearances, marking an exceptional period of service for the club.
The club also highlighted his major role during the most successful era in its history, noting that his impact has been unquestionable.
During his time at City, Stones has collected 19 major trophies, including six Premier League titles, one UEFA Champions League, two FA Cups, five Carabao Cups, three Community Shields, a FIFA Club World Cup, and a UEFA Super Cup.
