Brennan Johnson netted twice as Tottenham Hotspur extended their resurgence with a commanding victory over Ipswich Town at Portman Road.

Ipswich started brightly, with striker Liam Delap coming close to scoring a hat-trick in the opening six minutes. However, Spurs weathered the early pressure and struck twice midway through the first half. Son Heung-Min provided the assists for Johnson, who first tapped in from close range and then delivered a composed finish to double the lead, silencing the home crowd.

The hosts pulled one back through Omari Hutchinson, whose brilliant strike past Guglielmo Vicario came courtesy of Jack Clarke’s setup. Ipswich thought they had equalized when Luke Woolfenden headed in from a free-kick, but the goal was ruled out for offside.

As Ipswich pushed for a comeback, Spurs capitalized on their opportunities. Djed Spence restored the two-goal cushion in the 77th minute with a deflected shot past Alex Palmer. Dejan Kulusevski sealed the win with a precise low strike in off the post six minutes from time.

The victory propelled Spurs to 12th in the Premier League, marking their third consecutive win for the first time since December 2023. Meanwhile, Ipswich remained in the relegation zone, sitting third from bottom and winless in their last seven league games.
