Mohamed Salah has officially become a Trabzonspor player after putting pen to paper on a two-year deal with the Turkish club following his exit from Liverpool.

The Egyptian star joins the Süper Lig side as a free agent, bringing an end to an unforgettable nine-year spell at Anfield, where he established himself as one of the Reds’ greatest-ever players.

During his time in England, Salah enjoyed remarkable success, helping Liverpool lift several major trophies, including the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League, while cementing his place among the club’s highest goalscorers.

His arrival is being celebrated as a landmark signing for Trabzonspor, with supporters hopeful that his experience, quality and winning mentality will strengthen the team’s ambitions both in the league and on the European stage.

According to Sky Sports News on Thursday, “Mohamed Salah has now signed his two-year contract with Trabzonspor. The former Liverpool winger signs on a free transfer after he departed Anfield earlier this summer.”

The transfer finally settles weeks of uncertainty over Salah’s next destination after leaving Liverpool and is widely regarded as one of the biggest signings in the Turkish club’s history.

Before the deal was completed, hundreds of Trabzonspor fans gathered in Istanbul to welcome the Egyptian forward, giving him a warm reception as he arrived to finalise the transfer.
