JUST IN: West Ham confirm Graham Potter as new manager

37

West Ham have officially announced Graham Potter as their new manager, replacing Julen Lopetegui, who was dismissed on Wednesday after six months in charge.

The 49-year-old former Brighton and Chelsea boss has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with the London club.

Potter takes over with West Ham sitting 14th in the Premier League, seven points clear of the relegation zone, having won only six league matches so far.

This marks Potter’s first managerial role since he was let go by Chelsea in April 2023.

West Ham will face Aston Villa in the FA Cup third round on Friday (20:00 GMT).
