Juventus secure victory over Roma

Juventus secured a 1-0 home victory against Roma on Saturday, with Adrien Rabiot scoring in the second half, narrowing the gap to Serie A leaders Inter Milan to just two points.

Rabiot seized on a flick from Dusan Vlahovic inside the box and calmly slotted home. Juventus concludes the year in second place with 43 points from 18 games, trailing Inter, who drew 1-1 at Genoa on Friday. Meanwhile, Jose Mourinho’s Roma holds the seventh position.

Earlier in the day, third-placed AC Milan secured a 1-0 victory against Sassuolo.

Federico Chiesa believed he had widened Juve’s lead just before the final whistle, receiving a deflected ball inside the box and converting it, but was ruled offside.
