Juventus have secured the signing of Dutch midfielder Teun Koopmeiners from Atalanta for a fee of €54.7 million (£46.1 million).
The 26-year-old played a pivotal role in Atalanta’s victory over Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League final in Dublin last May and has now committed to a five-year contract with Juventus.
Koopmeiners, known for his versatility across the midfield, scored 33 goals over the last two seasons for Atalanta.
Unfortunately, he missed out on the Netherlands’ Euro 2024 squad after sustaining a muscular injury during a warm-up match.
Juventus, who finished third in Serie A last season, 23 points behind champions Inter Milan, have been active in the transfer market, also signing Douglas Luiz from Aston Villa and Francisco Conceicao from Porto this summer.
