England captain Harry Kane has reportedly agreed in principle to a new contract with Bayern Munich that would keep him at the German club until the summer of 2029, according to Sky Sports.

The 33-year-old striker joined Bayern from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023 and has scored 154 goals in 156 appearances for the Bundesliga side.

The proposed extension follows another prolific period in front of goal, with Kane’s performances for club and country boosting his prospects of winning the Ballon d’Or.

During his time at Bayern, the England captain has won two Bundesliga titles, as well as the German Cup and German Super Cup. He has also claimed the European Golden Shoe twice and won the Bundesliga Golden Boot in each of his three seasons at the club.

Kane ended his long wait for a major trophy when Bayern secured the Bundesliga title in 2025, subsequently adding more silverware to his collection.

On the international stage, Kane led England to the Euro 2024 final and helped the Three Lions record their best World Cup finish since winning the tournament in 1966.

Earlier this month, he matched Peter Shilton’s record of 125 appearances for England. Kane could surpass the former goalkeeper’s tally during next month’s Nations League fixtures.

If finalised, the new deal would extend Kane’s stay in Germany until 2029 as he continues to pursue further trophies and individual accolades with Bayern Munich.
