Harry Kane scored twice as Bayern Munich narrowly held off a stunning late comeback from struggling Holstein Kiel to secure a 4-3 victory, extending their lead at the top of the Bundesliga to nine points.

Despite Bayern leading 4-0, Kiel rallied impressively, cutting the deficit to 4-3 in stoppage time but ultimately fell short of an equalizer.

Bayern capitalized on Kiel’s missed early chances, taking the lead in the 19th minute when Jamal Musiala finished clinically after being set up by Michael Olise. However, Kiel posed a persistent threat on the counter-attack, keeping Bayern from dominating the first half completely.

Just before halftime, England captain Kane extended Bayern’s advantage with a precise header from a Kingsley Coman cross. He struck again shortly after the restart, guiding Raphael Guerreiro’s delivery into the top corner with another expertly placed header in the 46th minute.

Serge Gnabry, introduced at halftime, added Bayern’s fourth in the 54th minute with a brilliant display of skill, controlling an aerial ball before finishing with his left foot past Timon Weiner.

Kiel responded with a stunning strike from Finn Porath into the top corner, and Steven Skrzybski netted twice in quick succession during stoppage time to ignite a tense finale. However, Bayern managed to hold on for the win.

Vincent Kompany’s side now sits nine points ahead of second-placed Bayer Leverkusen, who have a game in hand. Meanwhile, Kiel remains in 17th place, two points within the automatic relegation zone and six points from safety.
