Kane nets brace as Bayern whip Union Berlin
Harry Kane delivered a standout performance, scoring twice and assisting another goal, as Bayern Munich cruised to a comfortable Bundesliga win over Union Berlin.
The 31-year-old opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 15th minute after a foul on Michael Olise.
Kane then set up Kingsley Coman for Bayern’s second goal just before halftime, and cleverly tapped in his second goal in the 51st minute to secure three points at the Allianz Arena.
Kane currently leads the Bundesliga scoring charts with 11 goals and boasts an impressive 60 goal involvements in 41 appearances, tallying 47 goals and 13 assists.
This win snaps Union Berlin’s three-game unbeaten streak, dropping them to sixth place, while Bayern has now recorded three consecutive league victories.
Vincent Kompany’s side will look to carry this league form into their Champions League clash with Benfica this week, having secured one win and two losses in the competition so far.
