Kylian Mbappe of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) will miss his team’s Champions League round of 16 first-leg match against Bayern Munich due to a thigh injury.

Kylian Mbappe will be sidelined for three weeks after injuring himself during Wednesday’s 3-1 win over Montpellier.

Before being taken off after 21 minutes, the 24-year-old French forward had a terrible night, missing two penalties and an open-net goal.

On February 14, Bayern Munich will travel to Parc des Princes to face PSG in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League round of 16 ties. The Champions League match will begin at 21:00.

Aside from the Champions League tie, Kylian Mbappe will miss PSG’s games against Marseille in the French Cup on February 8 and Monaco in Ligue 1 three days later.

The second match against Bayern will be played on March 8 in Germany. Mbappe is expected to be fit enough to play by then.

This season, the French forward has 25 goals in 26 games for his club.

Kylian Mbappe won the Golden Boot at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar after scoring eight goals, including a hat-trick in the final.

Despite winning the award ahead of his club teammate, Lionel Messi, on goal difference, Messi’s Argentina won the World Cup on penalties.
