Liverpool will evaluate the fitness of forward Diogo Jota ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League match against Bologna at Anfield.
The 27-year-old Portugal international missed Tuesday’s open training session due to a minor injury.
Manager Arne Slot remains optimistic that Jota will be part of the squad for the clash against the Serie A side.
“Diogo missed two sessions after the Wolves game as he took a knock,” Slot said.
“I’m expecting him to be with us [for the game].”
Liverpool forward Federico Chiesa also missed Tuesday’s training session and is ruled out of the Bologna match.
“Federico trained with us and came in today with some problems and I’m not expecting him to be in the team,” added Slot.
“It is a pity for us and for him as well as he was looking forward to a Champions League night at Anfield, especially against an Italian team.
“I’m not expecting him to be out for a very long period of time, but this game is not possible for him and we have to wait to see if he can be in the team on Saturday [against Crystal Palace].”
Liverpool are aiming to secure consecutive victories in the Champions League after their win against AC Milan in the opening fixture.
