Super Falcons head coach Justine Madugu has unveiled a 25-player squad for Nigeria’s upcoming double-header friendlies against the Cameroon women’s national football team.
The nine-time African champions will take on Cameroon in two matches in Yaoundé on February 28 and March 3 as part of their preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
Regular stars such as captain Rasheedat Ajibade, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, Ashleigh Plumptre, Michelle Alozie and Esther Okoronkwo made the list, while star striker Asisat Oshoala is the only notable omission.
Midfielder Ngozi Okobi returns to the squad after a three-year absence, and forward Gift Monday also earns a recall.
The fixtures form part of Nigeria’s build-up to WAFCON 2026, where they will compete in Group C alongside debutants Malawi, Zambia and Egypt.
The tournament, scheduled from March 17 to April 3, will see the four semi-finalists qualify automatically for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
Nigeria heads into the competition as defending champions after lifting their 10th continental title in Morocco in 2025.
