Man City defeats Liverpool 4-1, revive title hopes

Manchester City brought class to the Etihad Stadium once again, melting Liverpool’s defence with four goals and are still vying for the Premier League title.

The Reds took the lead in the 17th minute through Mohammed Salah, and City equalised ten minutes later through Julian Alvarez, who came on for the injured Erling Haaland.

The Sky Blues scored the game’s third goal seconds after halftime thanks to a Kevin de Bruyne tap-in, Likay Gundogan scored in the 53rd minute, and Jack Grealish added to Jurgen Klopp’s misery in the 74th minute.

Liverpool has lost their last three games in all competitions since their 7-0 bashing over Manchester United.

They still contesting for a Champions League spot although Klopp’s men are seven points adrift of the last Champions League spot.

Manchester City are now five points closer to Arsenal, who are taking on Leeds United at the Emirates Stadium.
