Manchester City came back from behind to beat Tottenham 4-2 on Thursday at the Etihad Stadium to keep tab on league leader, Arsenal.

Tottenham were two goals up in the first half but City scored four goals in the second half to carry the day.

The visitors opened scoring on 44 minutes after a terrible mistake. The defender ended up losing possession, allowing Dejan Kulusevski to pick up the ball before slotting it into the back of the net to make it 0-1.

On first half added time, Tottenham made it 0-2. Emerson Royal was first to latch onto the rebound near the penalty spot, and he produced a fantastic header into the top right corner.

City reduced the tally on 51st minute. Julian Alvarez slotted the ball into an unguarded net from close range after a shot rebounds off a defender.

The homers equalised two minutes later. A nice headed pass by Riyad Mahrez to Erling Haaland, who latched on to it and put the ball into the back of the net with a fine header.

City were 3-2 up on 63rd minute after Mahrez scored from what looked like an impossible angle to convert. He somehow found the net with a cheeky shot past the keeper from close in.

A catastrophic error from the opponent on duration time gifted a chance to Mahrez, who rolled the ball into the back of the net from close range.
