Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has responded to the club’s decision to dismiss Erik ten Hag as manager.
The Red Devils parted ways with Ten Hag following their 2-1 loss to West Ham on Sunday.
“Thanks for everything, boss! I appreciate the trust and the moments we share together, I wish you all the best,” Fernandes wrote on Instagram.
“Even knowing the last period hasn’t been great from all of us.
“I hope you fans can keep with you the good things Erik has done for our club.”
United have also announced that former striker, Ruud van Nistelrooy, will take over the team on an interim basis.
Van Nistelrooy was brought in to join Ten Hag’s backroom staff last summer.
