According to report, The French striker, Kylian Mbappe have finalized a contract with Real Madrid a fortnight ago and is set to join the club once the summer transfer window commences according to a story on MARCA and corroborated by AS.

Last Thursday, Mbappe and his current club, Paris Saint-Germain, revealed their decision to part ways this summer, indicating a strong likelihood that the striker will join Real Madrid.

According to report, Mbappe is set to sign a five-year contract with Los Blancos, commanding a salary ranging between €15 million and €20 million. This proposed agreement would elevate him to the position of the highest-paid player at the club, surpassing Jude Bellingham.

Although Real Madrid’s offer this time wasn’t as substantial as it was in 2022, as the club perceived leverage in the negotiations, Mbappe ultimately opted to accept the deal.

France captain Kylian Mbappe has informed Paris Saint-Germain officials of his intention to depart when his contract concludes at the end of the season, as revealed by a source close to the Ligue 1 champions on Thursday. Despite extending his contract in 2022 until 2024, the 25-year-old, who joined PSG from Monaco in 2017, chose not to activate a clause last summer that would have allowed him to remain with the club for an additional year.

Mbappe has been widely tipped to move to Real Madrid and, according to a source close to the matter, has already entered negotiations with the Spanish giants.

“The terms of the departure have yet to be fully agreed,” the source said, adding that the club and Mbappe will make an official statement “when everything is finalised in the next few months”.

Mbappe is set to depart PSG on a free transfer, but the impact on the club will be mitigated by a prearranged agreement forged last summer. This agreement involves the player forgoing bonuses, estimated to be in the range of 60 to 70 million euros ($65.6 million to $76.6 million).

Concluding seven seasons with PSG, Mbappe, the leading goal scorer in the club’s history, appears poised to fulfill a childhood dream by transferring to Real Madrid.

Real Madrid has openly expressed their keen interest in bringing him to the Santiago Bernabeu. Despite considerations by club president Florentino Perez in 2019, 2021, and 2022 to sign him, each attempt was met with rejection.

PSG is entering a phase of uncertainty as they witness the departure of their primary star, following the exits of Neymar and Lionel Messi just a year ago.
