Mbappe to earn £128m sign on fee
Verbally, Kylian Mbappe has consented to a transfer to Real Madrid in the summer, following the expiration of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain.
Despite the fact that the contract has not yet been executed, every detail is in order; the French superstar will earn an astounding £13 million annually in Spain.
Liverpool and Arsenal were reportedly considering potential acquisitions of the 2018 World Cup champion for the Premier League.
However, it has been no secret that Mbappe desires to join Real Madrid and that the Spanish titans are interested in the 25-year-old.
PSG has maintained that a definitive decision regarding Mbappe’s future has not yet been made, insisting that he could certainly sign a new contract to remain with the club.
However, it is now believed that an agreement has been reached for Mbappe to join Real Madrid in the summer.
Mbappe is expected to earn approximately £13 million [€15 million] annually in basic compensation at the Bernabeu, in addition to a £128 million [€150 million] signing-on fee, as part of his free transfer.
This enormous incentive is slated to be distributed over a five-year duration, coinciding with Mbappe’s signing of a five-year contract in the capital city of Spain.
Since his transfer from Monaco in 2017, Mbappe has amassed 244 goals and 93 assists in 291 appearances to set the PSG record for all-time leading scorers. He joined PSG for £166 million [€180 million] when he was 18 years old, but in the seven seasons he has spent at the Parc des Princes, he has developed into one of the finest footballers in the world.
Although he has won five Ligue 1 titles in his native country, his greatest achievement to date was leading France to the 2018 World Cup championship. In that tournament, he was dubbed the young player of the tournament and scored in the championship match against Croatia. He achieved this feat at the age of 19.
