Monza have reappointed Alessandro Nesta as their manager, just seven weeks after dismissing the former Italy defender.
The club had replaced Nesta with Salvatore Bocchetti in December, but Bocchetti was sacked following a 5-1 defeat to Lazio on Sunday, which left Monza eight points adrift of safety at the bottom of Serie A.
During Bocchetti’s brief tenure, the 38-year-old managed only one win while losing six of his seven league games.
Nesta, who originally took charge of Monza in July for his first managerial role in Serie A, recorded just one victory in 17 league matches before being dismissed.
Now back at the helm, Nesta’s first game in his second stint will be against Lecce on Sunday, February 16.
