Former Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has said Morocco could have secured a convincing victory over Brazil if they had players of the calibre of Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman in their squad.

Oliseh made the remark in a post on his X account after Morocco’s 1-1 draw with Brazil national football team in their 2026 FIFA World Cup group-stage clash on Saturday.

The former Nigeria captain commended Morocco’s overall performance, highlighting the team’s organisation in both attack and defence.

“Impressive performance by this Moroccan side, defensively and offensively well structured. Had this team had ‘Victor Osimhen or Ademola Lookman’ like players versus Brazil, they could have won by 3 goals to 1 at worst,” he wrote.

Oliseh also suggested that Brazil were fortunate to avoid defeat, praising the influence of key players who helped the South Americans secure a draw.

“Brazil looking deceptive and thank God they had Vinicius Jr and Raphinha. I loved the belief and evolution from the Moroccans,” he added.

Morocco claimed a valuable point against the five-time world champions after an impressive display, while Vinicius Junior was named Superior Player of the Match.
