Luciano Spalletti returned to the dugout for the first time since 2019, taking over as head coach at Napoli.

Having previously coached Udinese, Roma and Zenit St Petersberg, the 62-year-old left Inter Milan in the summer of 2019 and has been free since then.

The Italian inked a two-year deal on Saturday with the Partenopei worth 3.5 million euros per year.

Napoli sacked Gennaro Gattuso after a fifth-place finish in the 2020-21 season. The former Milan midfielder then took over Fiorentina’s coaching spot.
