Netherlands women reach sixth straight Olympic final

The Netherlands advanced to their sixth consecutive Olympic women’s hockey final with a commanding 3-0 victory over Argentina in Paris.

Luna Noa Fokke opened the scoring for the Dutch in the 21st minute, and Laura Nunnink doubled the lead just before halftime.

Yibbi Jansen secured the win with a penalty corner goal in the third quarter.

The defending champions delivered a dominant performance, controlling possession throughout the match, while Argentina failed to capitalize on all 12 of their shots at goal.

This match was a rematch of the Tokyo 2020 final, where the Netherlands claimed their third Olympic title in four Games, following their victories in Beijing 2008 and London 2012.

Belgium will face China in the second semi-final at 18:00 BST on Wednesday. The bronze and gold medal matches are scheduled for Friday.
