Newcastle United defender Kieran Trippier is looking to leave the club this month in pursuit of regular first-team football.
The 33-year-old England international did not feature in the Magpies’ recent 1-0 victory over Southampton, remaining on the bench throughout the match.
Trippier, who signed with Newcastle from Atletico Madrid in 2022, now finds himself behind former Southampton full-back Tino Livramento in the competition for the right-back spot.
In January, Newcastle prevented Trippier from departing despite interest from Bayern Munich and Saudi Arabia.
Trippier has recently been linked with a potential move to Everton, where he could reunite with Sean Dyche, his former manager at Burnley.
Asked about the links in a news conference on Thursday, Dyche said: “He’s one of many names that has come up here.
“As if by magic, his name comes up when we don’t have a right-back available”.
Everton will be missing full-back Ashley Young for this weekend’s match against Tottenham after his red card during their recent defeat to Brighton.
Kieran Trippier, who has earned 54 international caps, started England’s first six matches at Euro 2024 but was replaced by Luke Shaw for the final.
The former Tottenham defender still has two years remaining on his contract with Newcastle United.
