Newcastle United have secured a five-year agreement with Bournemouth defender Lloyd Kelly, who is out of contract.
The 25-year-old, who joined Bournemouth from Bristol City for £13 million in 2019 under then-manager Eddie Howe, now reunites with Howe at Newcastle.
Kelly, versatile in playing both left-back and left centre-half, strengthens Newcastle’s defense after they failed to sign Tosin Adarabioyo, who chose to move from Fulham to Chelsea.
Last season, Kelly made 25 appearances for Bournemouth, scoring his only goal against Swansea in the FA Cup.
