Nigeria women drop to 38th position in latest FIFA ranking
Nigeria women team has dropped one step to 38 in the latest FIFA rankings, after amassing 1608 points, five less than 1613 it gathered a month earlier.
However, the Super Falcons remain Africa’s number one on the CAF rankings, with Ghana and Cameroon maintain their second and third places respectively.
The United States retained top spot in the ranking while Germany dropped out of the top two in the FIFA women’s rankings for the first time since 2009 after a poor run of results.
England moved up to second spot for the first time, while Canada climbed to fourth in the rankings.
France rose to fifth, while the Netherlands remain at number seven.
while Sweden rose to ninth after being named joint winners of the Algarve Cup.
