Nigeria’s Super Eagles will next meet Tunisia in the Round of 16 knockout stage. The match will be played in Garoua, on 23 January at 7pm.
The Nigerian team played all their group D matches at the Stade Roumdé Adjia in the town.
Nigeria topped their group winning the maximum nine points.
Tunisia qualified as the third best team from Group F in the coastal town of Limbe.
They won just a match 4-0 against Mauritania, but lost to Gambia and Mali.
The Super Eagles are not strangers to Tunisia.
They defeated the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia 1-0 in the 2019 AFCON in Egypt to claim bronze
Meanwhile the Nigerian team has been promised a lot of gifts for their successes.
For every goal, the team will receive $20,000, which means they have banked $120,000 so far.
In the Round of 16, every goal will earn for the team $50,000.
The gifts were announced by Godwin Emefiele, Governor of CBN, who visited the team on Wednesday in Garoua, along with NFF president Amaju Pinnick.
The money is coming from a group of Nigeria’s billionaires, who worked together to assist Government in combating COVID-19 pandemic.
Emefiele also delivered the message of Femi Otedola and Aliko Dangote that huge rewards await the team if they win the trophy.
Otedola has already pledged $250,000 or the Naira equivalent.
Round of 16 Fixtures:
