A former Nigeria Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh, has urged Osimhen, Napoli’s star striker, to leave the Serie A champions.
Earlier this week, Napoli posted a video on their TikTok page that seemed to taunt Osimhen after he failed to score a penalty in the 0-0 match against Bologna.
In what seems to be a reaction to the video, the forward removed all pictures and videos related to Napoli from his Instagram account. Additionally, his agent issued a warning of potential legal action against the club.
Upon his arrival at the team hotel for Napoli’s Serie A match against Udinese on Wednesday, the 24-year-old appeared to ignore several of his teammates.
Commenting on the matter, Oliseh wrote on his X handle:” Forever proud to be Nigerian; One must show personality, work hard & refuse to be intimidated. let Racists and ingrates talk! That’s why they are eternal losers who secretly wish they were created like you! Osimhen needs to leave Napoli as soon as yesterday!!”
The forward has scored four goals in six league appearances for Rudi Garcia’s side this season.
