Osimhen wins Footballer of the Year award in Turkey

Victor Osimhen has been named Footballer of the Year at the 72nd Annual Milliyet Sports Awards.

The Annual Milliyet Sports Awards is widely recognised as one of Turkey’s most prestigious sporting honours.

Osimhen played a key role in Galatasaray’s domestic double success last season.

The 27-year-old recorded 26 goals and four assists in 30 league matches for the Yellow and Reds.

He also impressed in European and cup competitions, netting seven goals in the UEFA Europa League and adding five more in the Turkish Cup.

Osimhen has maintained his strong form this season, registering 19 goals and seven assists in 29 appearances across all competitions for Galatasaray.

He is currently recovering from an arm injury.
