Osinbajo to inaugurate football tourney today in Ogun

Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo will on Monday (today) inaugurate a football tournament tagged “Buhari /Osibanjo Football Tournament 2019” at the Dipo Dina International Stadium, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.

The President, Nigeria for Justice, Olushola Orelaja, told journalists on Sunday that the tournament was organised in support of the good governance by President Muhammadu Buhari’s government.

The winners will receive N200,000 while the runners-up and third-place team get N100,000 and N50,000 respectively. Also, N20,000  will be given to all clubs in the tournament.

Orelaja said, “This is the time to support President Buhari and Vice President Osibanjo for their good governance. This organisation is established to support the less-privileged through sports, collaborate with the government on good governance and develop the Nigerian sports sector.

“This tournament is not politically motivated because no political party nor politician sponsored us. We felt supporting good governance is a necessary thing for us and we hope Nigerians will be happy about this development.”
