Pep Guardiola has been named among six nominees for the 2025-26 Premier League Manager of the Season award.

The Manchester City manager is shortlisted alongside Mikel Arteta of Arsenal, Michael Carrick of Manchester United, Andoni Iraola of Bournemouth, Keith Andrews of Brentford, and Regis Le Bris of Sunderland.

Guardiola has previously won the award five times, most recently in the 2023-24 season. Only Sir Alex Ferguson has claimed the honour more often, with 10 awards.

City remain in contention for the Premier League title, sitting two points behind leaders Arsenal with two matches remaining.

Arteta, meanwhile, is aiming to guide Arsenal to their first league title since the 2003-04 season. The Gunners have recorded 24 wins from 36 league matches this campaign, alongside seven draws and five defeats.

Arsenal have also registered 16 clean-sheet victories this season, second only to their tally of 17 in 2023-24. Seven of those wins have come by a 1-0 scoreline, their highest since recording nine such victories in 1998-99.

Despite only taking charge in January, Carrick has revived Manchester United’s campaign and helped secure qualification for the Champions League.

Since replacing Ruben Amorim, Carrick has won 10 of his 15 matches, drawing three and losing two, including victories against Arsenal, City, and Liverpool.

United need just one more point from their final two games to confirm a third-place finish.

Iraola has already confirmed he will leave Bournemouth at the end of the season, but he is still chasing European qualification before his departure.

The Cherries are unbeaten in their last 16 Premier League matches, with eight wins and eight draws — the longest unbeaten run in the league this season — and they remain in the hunt for Champions League football.

Brentford are also pushing for European qualification under Andrews, who has impressed in his debut season in charge.

The Bees are conceding an average of 12.9 shots and 4.2 shots on target per game this season, both their best defensive records across their five Premier League campaigns.

Le Bris has also enjoyed an impressive campaign with newly promoted Sunderland, who are still in contention for a top-half finish.

Only Arsenal, Manchester City, and Crystal Palace have kept more clean sheets than Sunderland’s 11 this season. It is also the highest clean-sheet tally by a promoted club since Leeds United recorded 12 in the 2020-21 campaign.
