Tochukwu Nnadi has joined Olympique Marseille from Belgium’s Zulte Waregem. 

The French club announced the arrival of the 22-year-old on Monday.

The Super Eagles midfielder joins the club for an undisclosed fee and will wear jersey number six for Marseille.

“Olympique de Marseille is proud to announce the arrival of Nigerian international Tochukwu Nnadi from SV Zulte Waregem,” the statement reads.

Nnadi is Marseille’s fourth acquisition of the just concluded transfer window. He joins Nathan Nwaneri, on loan from Arsenal, Quinten Timber, Himad Abdelli as Robert De Zerbi’s recruits to secure the club’s fight to retain their UEFA Champions League (UCL) spot next season.

Nnadi was one of the surprises in the Nigerian national team’s squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Prior to the senior call-up, he only featured for the Flying Eagles team at the 2023 U-20 World Cup in Argentina.

He made his his official debut for the senior team as a second half substitute in Nigeria’s 3-1 victory over Uganda in the last group match of AFCON 2025.

Nnadi is a home-grown talent who started his football career with Campos FC in Owerri, Imo. He moved to Madenat Alamal Football Academy in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in 2019 and, after a successful trial, joined Botev Plovdiv of Bulgaria in August 2021.
