Plymouth had two players sent off during their 1-1 draw with QPR at Loftus Road in the Championship.

Adam Forshaw was shown a second yellow card and dismissed less than 30 minutes into the match, while substitute Freddie Issaka received a straight red card in second-half stoppage time.

QPR took an early lead through Michael Frey’s header in the third minute, but Morgan Whittaker equalized for Plymouth with a stunning 25-yard strike.

Forshaw’s expulsion came shortly after, following a late challenge on Jimmy Dunne, adding to his earlier booking for pulling back Karamoko Dembele, who was in impressive form.

Despite being down to 10 men, Plymouth withstood heavy pressure in the second half and had a strong penalty appeal turned down when Jake Clarke-Salter appeared to grab Kornel Szucs’s shirt in the QPR box. Issaka was later sent off for a challenge on Hoops full-back Kenneth Paal.

The draw leaves both teams still searching for their first win after three games of the Championship season.
