Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has inked a contract extension with the club, securing his position until June 2026.
At the age of 64, the Italian manager was appointed for a second term at the Bernabeu in 2021 under an initial three-year contract.
Despite being linked to the role of Brazil’s manager earlier this year, he expressed his desire to stay at the club.
Ancelotti, having secured 10 titles as the head of Real, including two Champions League triumphs, most recently in the 2021-22 season, has also claimed a La Liga title, two Copas del Rey, two Club World Cups, two European Super Cups, and the Spanish Super Cup once.
His previous tenure with Real, from 2013 to 2015, concluded a year after winning the Champions League.
Ancelotti made a comeback, taking charge for a second time, succeeding Zinedine Zidane, following his departure from Everton in the Premier League in June 2021.
The manager at Real Madrid holds the unique distinction of being the sole coach to secure victory in four European Cups and is the inaugural coach to triumph in all five major European leagues, spanning Italy, England, France, Germany, and Spain.
In the previous season, Real claimed the Copa del Rey but ended as the runners-up in the Spanish top flight to Barcelona and reached the semi-finals of the Champions League.
In the current season, they are leading La Liga after 18 matches and continue to participate in all their European and domestic cup competitions.
