Recognising Outstanding Achievements In Football: Osun FA Awards Set To Hold December 6th

‏sun State’s finest football players, coaches, fans, and administrators will be honored at the inaugural Osun Football Association Awards later this year.

On Friday, December 6th, 2024, members of the Osun football family will gather at the prestigious Mosab Mega Hall, Ring road, Osogbo, for a glittering ceremony to honour outstanding members of the world’s most popular sports in Osun State.

This highly anticipated event will recognize outstanding achievements in football, showcasing the dedication, passion, and excellence of Osun’s football community. With 17 prestigious awards up for grabs, the ceremony promises to be an unforgettable night of glory and recognition.

The nominees for the Osun FA Awards would be announced on October 30th, from which three would be shortlisted as finalists for each categories.

Winners would be chosen by a combination of votes from Coaches, Administrators and Top Football writers within the state.

The winners would also be revealed at the Osun FA Awards ceremony on the first Friday in the month of December.

The following Awards will be presented at the ceremony.
1. Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi Award (Grassroots Football Hero)
2. Keeping Football Positive Award (Championing Positive Change)
3. Coach of the Year (Male/Female)
4. Player of the Year (Male/Female)
5. Young Player of the Year (Male/Female)
6. Golden Boot Award (Top Scorer)
7. Golden Glove Award (Outstanding Goalkeeper)
8. Fair Play Award (Team with Exemplary Discipline)
9. Referee of the Year
10. Club of the Year
11. Community Award
12. Lifetime Achievement Award
13. Goal of the Season
14. Save of the Season
15. Sports Journalist of the Year (Radio – Yoruba)
16. Sports Journalist of the Year (Radio – English)
17. Journalist of the Year (Online Media)
