Ashleigh Plumptre, Super Falcons defender, has stated that the team is confident of defeating all of their opponents at the four-nation invitational tournament, Revelation Cup.
The four participating countries — Nigeria, Costa Rica, Colombia, and Mexico — will use the tournament to prepare for the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2023.
Speaking in a short video interview posted on the Super Falcons Twitter handle, on Wednesday, Plumptre said, “We prepare for every game knowing we are trying to win and we will compete to the best of our ability to make sure we get the results.
“I’ve prepared myself in the same way for every game and we are ready to go.”
The Super Falcons take on Mexico in their first game at 10 tonight and the team will play their last match against Costa Rica on February 21.
The competition will serve as part of Super Falcons’ preparations for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup to be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand.
