Ronaldo eyes Nations league glory, 1,000-goal milestone

Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed the two major objectives driving him as he continues his remarkable football career with Portugal and Al Nassr.

The Portugal captain is aiming for another UEFA Nations League triumph, while also chasing the extraordinary milestone of 1,000 career goals.

Ronaldo disclosed the targets in comments shared by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on X on Wednesday.

“The missions now are two: winning the Nations League and reaching 1,000 career goals,” Ronaldo said.

The 41-year-old has already achieved several landmarks during his career, including leading Portugal to major international titles and becoming one of football’s most prolific scorers.

His pursuit of 1,000 goals would add another remarkable chapter to a career that has produced numerous individual and team honours.

For Portugal, Ronaldo is also targeting further Nations League success as the national team continues its campaign in the competition.

Meanwhile, newly appointed Portugal coach Jorge Jesus has continued to show his faith in the veteran striker, confirming that Ronaldo remains a key figure in his plans.

Jesus also confirmed Ronaldo’s inclusion in the starting XI for Portugal’s clash with Wales, while highlighting his importance to the national team.
