Ronaldo, Messi top Forbes’ highest-paid footballers

Forbes has compiled a list of the current highest-paid players.

Al Nassr forward Cristiano Ronaldo and Inter Miami great Lionel Messi topped the list.

Despite the fact that Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are nearing the end of their careers, the round-leather game continues to provide them with significant financial rewards.

Both are usually recognized as the best football players in history.
Ronaldo is at the top of Forbes’ current list, earning a whopping $285 million annually.
The 39-year-old receives $220 million a year in wages from Al-Nassr, with the remainder coming from sponsorship.

Messi, on the other side, is the sole MLS player in the top 10 list.

The Argentine gets a total of $135 million, including $60 million in salaries and $75 million in off-field deals.

The list is largely dominated by players from the Saudi league.

Others on the list, according to Sportskeeda, are Al-Hilal’s Neymar ($110 million), Al-Ittihad’s Karim Benzema ($104 million), and Al-Nassr’s Sadio Mane ($52 million).

The only representatives from La Liga are Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe ($90 million) and Vinicius Junior ($55 million).

The Premier League’s Erling Haaland ($60 million), Mohamed Salah ($53 million), and Kevin De Bruyne ($39 million) round out the top 10 highest-paid players in the world.
